    WAREHOUSING

    Amethyst has 6 shared-user distribution centres in three strategic UK locations providing modern warehousing with high levels of security. We provide flexible flat and hanging storage, tailored to our client’s requirements. We offer specialist services to our clients including wholesale, retail and eCommerce fulfilment. Amethyst takes the burden of investment in space and systems to provide clients with flexibility with reduced fixed costs.

    DISTRIBUTION

    We understand our client’s success depends on accurate and timely delivery of goods. We deliver to retail distribution centres, retail outlets and online customers throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and worldwide. We negotiate with transport providers at group level in order to achieve the best prices and service levels for our clients.

    ADDED VALUE

    Amethyst provides various additional services to its Fashion and Beauty clients including but not limited to pre-retailing, ticketing, bagging, returns processing and hand steaming. In addition we are able to provide quality control services – operating to agreed AQL procedures – and light remedial work on a planned basis or as needed.

    IT

    Our services start with a full systems specification and integration of our warehouse management systems with clients stock control systems. For multi-channel integrations we also integrate with web platforms and clients’ customer systems where required. Our systems handle inbound scheduling, order processing and status, parcel tracking as well as returns processing.

    ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT/CUSTOMER SERVICES

    We take a partnership approach to our client relationships. We manage this relationship through our operational teams with daily and weekly reviews and on a strategic level with Managing Director collaboration for regular reviews. This way we ensure the day to day KPI’s are achieved whilst allowing for planning of future developments. We provide an online reporting system for clients which is designed to allow self service access to key data for clients on demand.

    Fashion E-fulfilment

    Amethyst is a market leading provider of outsourced e-commerce warehousing and distribution e-fulfilment. Many well known luxury and high street brands’ e-commerce orders are fulfilled by Amethyst. This client has a retail distribution centre which serves their national and international operations effectively. But they needed something different for their e-commerce fulfilment, a proven solution from an experienced logistics provider who could demonstrate accuracy, reliability and scalability.

    SOLUTION:

    We set up a project team to work alongside those of the client and their chosen web store platform. The team consisted of a project sponsor, implementation manager, as well as systems and operations specialists. Together, we specified, developed and tested a robust end to end fulfilment solution operating from our dedicated clothing fulfilment centre near Lichfield in Staffordshire.

    RESULT:

    From day one the transactional website performance smashed all forecasts and expectations. Amethyst had to react quickly to adjust for the unpredicted, but welcome demand for the brand.     Luxury Fashion Multichannel Fulfilment

    Amethyst works with several multi-channel fashion and beauty companies, providing warehousing and distribution for wholesale, retail and e-commerce both domestically and throughout the world. This luxury lingerie client needed a flexible and responsive outsourced logistics provider who could handle large daily volumes of franchise, retail and business to consumer orders domestically and internationally with high levels of accuracy, as well as demonstrated ability to carry out planned and ad hoc quality control services.

    SOLUTION:

    Amethyst put together a project team to examine the client’s requirements and understand the varied nature of the multi-channel international business. They then specified the systems and operational processes required. Working closely with the client and their partners, Amethyst carried out a carefully planned six month implementation and phased handover from the incumbent to make sure the move to Amethyst’s distribution centre in Kent was as smooth as possible

    RESULT:

    The feedback from the client’s headquarters was that most departments didn’t even realise the move had taken place! Through teamwork we have forged a strong partnership which gives the client the freedom to concentrate on their core business while we look after their logistics.
